Food quality is good although at times can feel mass produced, or microwave food, waiting staff are okay always better with a smile. In general not bad but a little more effort would make the difference.

Book a table via phone is the first challange here! I needed to call three times till somebody answered the phone.
Then i booked a table for the evening.
When i arrived there i waited about five minutes to be seated (which is basically okay), then i waited almost ten minutes for my drink and the chance to order. I got my food 15min later. The mixed grill platter was missing one sausage and the one which was served was burned! The steak was well done instead of medium, the only good thing on that platter was the tiny piece of chicken breast. So i can’t see a single reason to return to that place ever again! I wouldn’t even give one star if it was possible.
Biggest turndown in quite some time!!!

Friendly atmosphere and staff but terrible service. We had a reservation so were seated straight away but then waited 20 mins to order a drink and were told our food order would be taken when our drinks arrived, a further 15 mins later when the drinks arrived we finally ordered our food. After 10 mins or so the starter arrived which was of the standard you would expect, the main arrived a little while after which was ok but then another long wait for the desert menu to be offered. Our waitress was pleasent and tried to please but it just seemed as though she had too many tables. Shame really as it let the overall experience down.

Completely agree with all of the above, Ribs were so tasty and the meat just fell off the bone, We only had mains as there was so much, husband had a juicy fillet steak and daup potato’sHis plate was very empty!
Friendly staff and easy to find Just fab!

Just had a lovely 3 course dinner at the Lydiard. For our 27^th Anniversary. When we arrived we were seen to a table straight away and drink order taken. the waiter was very attentive with out being intrusive.
Well what can I say Prawn cocktail lovely, fresh salad with big juicy prawns
followed by Half rack of ribs with colslaw Potato dauphinoise and small salad, hot chocolate brownie and ice cream LUSH LUSH LUSH.
My husband had garlick mushrooms, ribeye steak chips colslaw onion rings water cress garnish. followed by pofiteroles and cream. ! large glass of wine and 2 pints of shandy the bill was £39.00
Highly recommend but we did book and it was quite busy for a Thursday evening.
