Great food and home made chips are great

I have used this pub for over 5 years with my great Grand-​daughter. She loves it and they really do cater for kids. The Menu is quite varied at a reasonable price but the sandwiches are less than exciting of late. Not a great range of ales but adequate when only drinking with a meal.

I had my sons 7^th birthday here and they were brilliant you pay a set price per child and they give you invitations for every child that will be coming were the child can mark what menu they will want chicken nuggets/​fishfingers/​burger etc all with chips and pop the children get to play in the wacky warehouse for a while when you arrive while the parents can sit at the many tables and have a coffee while the children play or get there faces painted.
When its time for the food i would recommed you pop some ear plugs in because this is were the fun starts the staff get all the children to line up and then at the top of there voices start learning the children a song then off they march party hats and all off though the whole resturant. No chance of a quiet meal for two when there is a childrens party on Lol.
The children get there own part of the resturant for there party food. I bought a cake and candles and the staff bought that out for me so we could all sing happy birthday then back to wacky for more play before been given party bags and balloons before leaving.
A great day was had by all and the price was well worth it and the staff made the day so easy to plan.
If you just want to go for meal the prices are great aswell as the food the drinks are not that bad priced.
This resturant also has sports channel/​snooker table/​park and seats outside. and with it been in grangetown it is very easy to get to and you dont have to deal with heavy sunderland town traffic.

Very child friendly, if you can stand the noise. Very big play area for the kids with tables and chairs for the adults to sit and have a drink (from a plastic cup) or if its a nice day there is a small outdoor play area with benches to sit on.
Very nice menu if that is what you are after and they do childrens parties there too, about £7 a head i think but dont quote me on that.
Nice relaxing environment if you just in need of some liquid refreshment.
