Seeing this attractive pub from the outside, we resolved to visit later in the day. Inside has a nice look and unique feel to it too, as it turned out. Very friendly also(excepting whoever carved ‘superficial retards’ in the toilets). Unfortunately they only had the one ale available. Fortunately it was a delicious pint of Bath Gem with a lovely froth on top, a promise of great tastes to come. They actually had Bath Cider on too, which i had not had before and which turned out to be well worth a go! Add a couple more ales and this would be a five star pub for me

Looks like a traditional pub from outside but is actually a café bar. There are a variety of teas, coffees and alcoholic drinks. We had cider– one Aspalls and one cider from Bath(can’t remember the name oops). The food is really great, a bit more varied and interesting than expected. The burgers are really good– definitely recommend the ultimate greyhound burger for those with big appetites! There are also stuffed pittas, salads and meze and sharers. I had a board with grilled halloumi, breaded brie and onion rings with bbq and sweet chilli dips. Really enjoyed this! I’m not from the area otherwise I would definitely go back. There were lots more things I would have tried from the menu, particularly the sharers– stuffed peppers ad vine leaves etc.
