Jumpin Jaks

Jumpin Jaks is a strange little place situated in the Stevenage Leisure Park. You can get there easily by train (the station is right next door to the Leisure Park) or you can make use of the ample free parking which serves the complex as a whole. Inside Jumpin Jaks you’ll find yourself taken up a floor to an American styled bar with live entertainment galore. They’ve had some pretty big names over the years like Chesney Hawkes and Lisa Scott-​Lee. Okay, we’re talking off-​peak celebs but at a couple of quid a ticket — who cares? It beats paying £5 to see a band who are covered in acne and suffering from stage fright. Drinks are a bit pricey when they haven’t got promotions on. I drink like a fish so naturally this is a real bone of contention for me!
