The Ask chain of restaurants is part of the Pizza Express and Zizzi empire (and the new Byron burger brand). There are quite a few around and the locations can be found by looking at their (small) website. There are two branches in Stevenage and this one is in the retail park to the side of Stevenage Railway Station. It’s a steel and glass building with car parking all around it. I found the service here excellent. Most people eat pasta here the menu changes regularly but you can always find your favourite dishes quite easily on it. Prices are affordable for most but mid-​range and you will eat cheaper elsewhere if you really want to.

I first discovered this place about two years ago and have been a fan ever since. Once you have tasted their pizzas, there is no going back to Pizza Hut! All the ingredients taste really fresh, like a posh Italian restaurant without the posh prices. The goats cheese starter has to be my favourite, served on bread with caramellised onions. I am working my way through the main courses menu, they are all equally good.
The staff are very attentive and the service is quick. THere is a limited kids menu.
My only complaint would be that it can be a bit noisy sometimes, so not great for conversation if you are in a large group.
