Kampan Thai Restaurant

Absolutely amazing food, we have travelled to Thailand on numerous occasions and this really is the closest thing to it! Delicious!

We got a take away from this place and it was so awful i felt compelled to write a review. To my utter shock there was a great review on here for this place-​maybe the chef was having a bad day with us because it was horrendous.
All three of the curries ordered were very oily and did not taste authentically thai at all, in fact they didnt taste of anything. They had very little coconut milk and absolutely no chilli or lemongrass flavours. The fishcakes were these little rancid slimy things that again had no taste and the coconut rice had absolutely no coconut flavour. Some of the curries had fresh tomato and mushroom in them too which ive never seen in a thai curry before.
It really annoyed me because thai food is one of my favourites and to pay £28 for a meal i could have cooked better at home was rediculous!

Good authentic menu, loved my spicy sea food soup (hot!) and beef and lime leaf stir fry. Intimate atmoshere, friendly service, reasonable prices.
