Great library just outside the town centre in Southend. Set over several floors it has large fiction and reference sections plus a separate area where you can use computers and the internet. There is also an children’s area with books and decorations. It never seems to be very busy so it is nice and quiet and pleasant to browse for books to read in there. They also have DVDs, videos and CDs for loan as well as a quite large comic book/​grahic novel section. The staff are helpful. Also there are often displays of art by local artists, which adds interest.
