Nice little fish and chips shop, large portions and correct price.
The food is freshly made at order, arrives hot and delicious at your table, ready to enjoy. The adult Cod & Fish was too filling, I ended up leaving some in my plate. In comparison to the last fish and chips I had, today’s one did not had that badly juicy fat taste and I could really enjoy the fish.
Recommend that place if your are looking for a proper meal break along Southend on sea beach.

There are a lot of fish and chip places in Southend as you can imagine.
I had a lot of fish and chips on my stay here. This is, hands down, the best place.
It is not a lot to look at. This is not a place to come to if you DON’T just want fish and chips. That’s all it really does. Good price, Huge portions and yummy yummy fish and chips.
Chips, chrispy, fluffy, not greasy. Fish perfectly battered and fishy in all the right ways.
Cod, chips and a drink £7.25. Can’t argue.

Its hard to find decent grub in Southend. Amazingly giant extra large fish and chips. Lovely art deco décor nd helpful staff. Will always walk the extra steps to get here.

Not sure what has happened to Baileys of late. It used to be the only place I would go to for fish and chips.
Used to see the same faces behind the counter every time and the fish was always perfect.
Now it seems to have changed and is very very patchy, good sometimes and poor others.
Its a shame as it was a Southend Institution
I now tend to go the the Frying pan on Southchurch rd

My family and i have used Baileys for years and years. Fish and chips isnt a cheap meal anymore and Baileys is about the average price (about a fiver each for take away cod and chips) one thing is the cod is really good and large size too. They do an Extra large cod for £5.75 plus chips and its huge. Making my mouth water just thinking about it.
