I am and always will be a big fan of John Lewis. Located as part of West Quay Shopping Centre in Southampton this huge department store is more than capable of having its only identity and to be honest it has everything so why would you go into West Quay? The department store always looks clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and attentive. As you will expect from a large department store of this calibre, prices tend to be on the more expensive side but this is reflective in the quality of the products on offer and the customer service you receive. The restaurant on the top floor is a nice touch and a great place to chill-lax after a busy day shopping!

One of the corner-stone stores of Southampton’s huge West Quay shopping centre, John Lewis has one of pretty much everything in a decent quality brand at a price that matches. Some people say they are expensive, but they are typically the cheapest supplier for the items they carry — they just avoid junk! We’ve been shopping there for decades(they used to be located up Above Bar street, and once were called Tyrrell and Green). The main criticism we have of them is a tendency to display items they don;t actually have in stock. Their biggest strengths: * After-sales service. Best in the UK for a large store, they stand by their goods, help with repairs and returns, give the customer the benefit of the doubt. * Their«collection» service. Ask for a Collection card, then leave your purchases with the staff at each till and they will aggregate them and have them waiting for you in the car park when you are ready to leave.
