Handmade Burger Co

Im a big fan of handmade burger and this is one of the better restaurants however because of this it can be extremely busy.
The menu is the usual combination of awesome burgers and unique sides. The restaurant itself is large however service is quick but you can sometimes wait for 25 minutes plus for a table. The staff are incredibly friendly but sometimes look slightly stretched by the number of customers particularly when there are a number of large groups.

This was a good place by all means. The food was great but the service was not so great. The waiter’s took a very long time even though they had just seated us and the prices weren’t worth what we was given. But the burgers themselves are phenomenal, Just not worth it.

Love handmade burger. Doesn’t take long to get seated, and once food is ordered its promptly prepared and served. And who doesn’t love refillable soft drinks.
The range of food is very good, considering its menu is made up primarily burgers. My favourite is a blue cheese and bacon burger. And it would be rude not to have corn on the cob on the side.

As a vegetarian, I am always impressed when there are more than 3 options on a menu for me! There was about ⁶⁄₇ vegetarian burgers on offer and I chose the goats cheese stack and it was lovely! Goats cheese, grilled peppers, caramelised onions and watercress on a burger bun and I was a little bit greedy and went for a side of sweet potato fries and gherkins (shared cajun onion rings with my friend). My meal was lovely and washed down with a alcoholic ginger beer. The only thing that I didn’t really understand was that we had to go to the counter to order and pay. It annoyed me for 2 reasons, I was with a friend so we had to order separately and so our food came separately. It also meant that there was more staff hanging around doing nothing.

Erm… it’s a tricky one. This place looks the real deal, and there’s lots of people sat round enjoying their food… but at the end of the day, it’s just a burger, right?
I ordered the chicken skewers, for about a tenner I think it was, and lo and behold, that’s all I got. I’m not sure what more I was expecting, but certainly more than a couple of mini chicken fillets on skewers in exchange for ten quid.
I imagine if you are prepared to order, or have no problem with ordering, a ton of food to get yourself through then this place will be right up your alley. But if you’re after a «meal» … well, there’s Nandos next door.

As part of a week of fun, we visited Handmade Burger Co. For a special 30^th birthday edition of the #FatBoyBurgerTour. When I say ‘we’, I actually mean there were 23 of us. A logistical nightmare for any restaurant, but Handmade Burger Co. took it in their stride.
We all had to order our food a few days before we arrived so they had time to plan and prepare our meals, and on the day everything ran like clockwork. 23 people all served simultaneously with zero mistakes. A really impressive standard.
The food itself was good. I ordered a double-​stacked bacon cheeseburger and a side of fries all washed down with a giant bottle of peroni.
We were able to use a bunch of ‘buy one, get one for £1′ vouchers in our group too, so it was a very reasonably priced meal, roughly £14 per head including drinks!

My first time at Handmade Burger Co and definitely not my last. We used the buy 1 burger and get second one for £1 voucher — usually found on the back of pay and display parking tickets. The food was fantastic and great friendly service throughout. The drill is very similar to Nandos restaurant… waiter shows you to your table and presents you with menu’s. Orders placed at till quoting table number and if having bottomless soft drinks/​water, just help yourself. I was very impressed with the choice of burgers. 40 different burgers to choose from including Chicken, Beef, Lamb and veggie. I opted for the new Greek burger which was a tasty lamb burger, peri peri chips, sweet chilli dip and a bottomless coke, which came to around £10. I would recommend a visit here whether it be lunchtime or evening. May the Burger be with you.

Mighty fine Burger!
Called in here and left my quest for «authentic US feel diner» at home.
We were greeted at t he front of house by a very friendly server, and this is really where the place irritated me a little. I like good service, I like friendly service, I don’t like been harassed!
The girl was friendly and explained the whole menu then hovered whilst we decided if we were going to eat here, infact Ikind of felt pressured into going in as she hovered around the bored, pointing things out and repeating «Im sure you will find something you’ll like».
Having decided to go in we were escorted to our table, our friendly server was attentive and made sure the table didn’t wobble and ensured we were happy with where we were sat. Again she explained the menu complete with a barage of offers, and instructions on how to order.
Having scoured the plentiful menu I opted for the Stuffed chilli and cheddar burger (Beef patty stuffed with chilli & cheddar topped with chilli salsa and red onion with tomato lettuce and mayo)
The burger came as ordered (minus tomato/​lettuce/​mayo) and it was very very nice. Succulent beef patty and very flavourful. We had fries to share (good size portion). Another mild irritant is the constant «is everything alright with your meal» we were asked this 4 times by 4 different servers, while its nice that they are attentive, I felt this a little overkill.
Theres a variety of drinks, we had the ‘bottomless’ soda.
The décor is pretty cool, dark wood kind of theme throughout, tables nicely spaced so you don’t feel on top of each other and the place is easy to walk about without banging into other people.
Overall it was good value and real nice food and we will definately be returning.
This place doesn’t try and and be ‘An American Burger bar’ kind of place, just a good burger place, and it achieves it nicely.

This is probably the only burger joint I can safely say we like in the UK. We’ve gone more times than I can remember and are always satisfied after eating. Hubs has made it a point that every order involves the «super salad» which really is super. Not sure what it is… maybe it’s the beans, the simple dressing, but we always order it coming here.
The staff is really pleasant, and it’s much easier to get a seat here than the other food joints upstairs in Touchwood. What’s especially cool is that the restaurant has «two for» offers and you don’t have to wait so long to pay the bill, as you just have to go up to the till.
While we don’t have The Counter in the Midlands, HBC is a good substitute. Now if they made sweet potato fries…

Had given up on burgers when out for a meal as they tend to be the same re-​hash of limp lettuce and tasteless beef. Burgers in this place taste just as good as they look and the service I have always found to be excellent. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant is situated on the upper floor of Touchwood opposite the cinema, so convenient if you are shopping.
The menu includes a wide variety of burgers: beef, chicken, lamb, veggie, all with different toppings. If you like your spicy food gently spicy, then watch out; the horseradish in particular has a good kick. There are some nice side orders too, including grilled veggies.
Pleasant staff, quick service, and worth stopping by, although not a detour. There are fairly frequent two for one offers here, so worth keeping your eyes out for bargain visits.

The burgers here are incredible — so tasty and so much of them you can hardly ever finish it. Staff are very friendly and helpful and it is usually very easy to get a table. However, everything on the meal is very expensive so be warned. Not an incredibly impressive surrounding just being inside a shopping centre but still worth a visit if you fancy a burger.

Very friendly staff who keep you updated on when your meal will arrive. Clean tables and cutlery. The food isnice but very pricey and probably not worth paying that much for as the burgers are pretty standard. Plenty of choice on the menu though.

I’ve been to the Touchwood branch 3 times now and haven’t got a bad word to say about the place. Yes, it is a bit pricey but then we go there as a treat once in a while.
The staff are warm and friendly. We don’t have to wait long for the food and when it arrives it’s cooked well. Kids are particularly fond of the chips!
At the end of day, it’s a burger restaurant and that’s what I expect to get when I go there.
I also like that you pay up front so you can leave as soon as you’ve finished.

After like my 6^th visit in the last month, i figured i should try and tell everyone on here just how great this little gem is. I went to the Brindley place restaurant last year and loved it, but hated the fact i had to travel all the way to birmingham to eat there. well now its in touchwood i seem to live there. not only do they make the best burger around, its also the best burger ive ever tried. and their fresh cut chips are to die for. its also surprisingly good value for money. i think i payed £11 for my meal includin drink.
