Proper looking pub with a good sense of humour. Nice beer, some good keg stuff and a pile of ciders at the back of the bar. Had a decent pint of Hoptathlon by Blue Bees.
Went for the Dhan Saak, as I was turned on by the menu’s promise of ‘mixed vegetable and lentil action’. It wasn’t quite the orgy in my mouth that I expected, but was decent fodder all the same.
Might have enjoyed my food even more if I didn’t have to witness a nappy being changed in the pub immediately beforehand.

Trinken im Rutland Arms ist ja schon fein — aber die wirkliche Höhe ist dort zu nächtigen. Im Zimmerchen über der Ausschank. Mit dem Kellner, der total übernächtigt Toasts und Sausages kredenzt — im Salon — Goldene Adonisbüste im Eck. Luv!

Wide selection of ales and lagers. The interior is rather dated and delapidated, needs a spring clean to say the least. However it is nice and friendly, with a range of decent food. The best part is the beer garden to the rear which has lots of plants and feels like a little oasis in the middle of the busy city centre, very nice in the summer.
