The pub looks fairly oldy worldy from outside but inside it’s very false. Has been open planned no cosy nooks and that fake oldy feel. Beer selection ok and they do usual pub good no comment on the quality.

This pub is just not to my taste. It is kind of hard to explain, but it has a non traditional pub look that irks me just as much as some over modern pubs do. Farmers blonde is at least a decent beer.

The Roebuck has sort of become a standby for me when I want a good cheap lunch. The food is very solid British fare, consisting mainly of thinks like Sausage & Mash, Fish & Chips, Steak & Ale Pie, etc. Their lunch menu features well sized smaller portions at prices that are a steal(2 mains for £7). Their dinner portions are also competitively priced, but they’re HUGE! The staff is very friendly, service is good and the ambiance is nice — it’s got the feel of a Pub, only it seems cleaner and more inviting than many of the other pubs that I’ve visited. I recommend it!

I came to Sheffield for the museumbut the museum didnt take that long to look around so I decided to go for a drink and this is the first pub I stumbled across(very central!) My friends ordered food. The portions were good and I heard no complaints about taste! Theres 2 pool tables. The toilets are very clean. Its all good! Only problem is minor. One of the bar maids was a bit of a bitch. We decided to have a few shots before heading off to the next museum/art gallery(bells was about £3.00 for a double) we were all just having some fun and after a round or 2 of shots she decides to shout over the bar ‘if your sick I’m not gonna clear it up!’ tsshhh. sick?! Nah! Kind of wish I could vomit on que just so that snotty lady would have to clean it up. Either way! Good pub!

The Roebuck Tavern is small friendly pub just on the outskirts of the main shopping street of Sheffield. Inside there is a small, nicely set out area for eating. At the other end of the pub there are 2 pool tables, a games console(plays pro evolution soccer) an ITbox and a bandit which can be used for entertainment. Although if you arent wanting to use those, then there is little room for you just to sit and have a drink apart from the bar. The drinks can vary in quality from the pump but often prices are good

Centrally located and a generally good pub, make the Roebuck a pre-match favourite of mine when going to the United games. There is a good range of beers(including local breweries such as Kelham Island and Thornbridge), all reasonably priced. A pool table and even games consoles!

Good boozer. Lively atmosphere. Good range of beer. Prices are average. Nice beer garden. Central to most other pubs and cluibs in Sheffield. Two pool tables and a PS2 for those wanting a game of football. Defo worth including in any pub crawl around Sheffield. Never eaten there but heard good things about the food.
