Probably one of the best sandwich shops I’ve come across in the city centre. They always have a wide variety of fillings and breads, thus prevailing the boredom of your normal tuna mayonaise et. al.
The queues can get quite large, but I suppose this is a by-​product of their success. Also, some of the staff could do with going on a course for customer service a smile wouldn’t go a miss.

Really nice place with an upstairs section to get away from the busy area downstairs. Takeaway sandwiches are quite expensive, but if you are staying in it is a good price compared to places like Starbucks.

Situated in Sheffield centre, this shop offers a good range of lunchtime options. There are freshly-​made sandwiches with a choice of breads and fillings, hot flatbreads and paninis, and salads, plus more substantial hot options like chilli. They also do a nice takeaway fruit salad.
You can also eat in, and there’s a large seating area upstairs. The shop does get busy, but the staff are fairly on the ball so service is quite quick.
This isn’t the cheapest sandwich place by far though, and as a result, I tend to use it for a special treat rather than every day.

Proper Deli is located in the middle of sheffield opposite the peace gardens. The food served is always top quality, i especially like the flatbreads. The food is a bit expensive, and cheaper options are available near by. At times queues can get quite long and there is a very small service area for the amount of custom they get, though there is usually plenty of seating upstairs.
