The Shahjahan Indian Cuisine

Food was good. Service efficient. Onions in the lemon rice was a bit odd.

Nothing that special. The food is what you would expect but it can get quite roudy at the weekends as it seems a popular spot for the lads to go before a piss up.

While the food here is delicious, i find the atmosphere in the restuarant to be very rushed. I had no sooner taken my coat off, than i was being asked if i would like to order. My table asked for a little time to read the menu and chat and were then left with a waiter hovering over us for most of the evening, as if waiting to clear our table the second me stood to leave. The food was enjoyable yes, the experience as a whole was not.

This has to be the finest Indian restaurant in Wiltshire, let alone Salisbury. I was invited here for a birthday many years ago and still visit the place every time I come back to Salisbury.
The décor and atmosphere of the restaurant has to be seen to be believed. The seats are old converted church pews. A tight squeeze for the horizontally challenged, but a charming, unique environment nevertheless.
The staff of the restaurant are always smiling and look positively overjoyed to see their punters walk through the door. This is now a family favourite of ours. Every dish is prepared well and quickly. The offer a takeaway service but you’d be a fool not to enjoy the restaurant. It is situated just by the train station. A definite must!
