Although the décor is barren/​minimal the atmosphere can be great when there are enough bodies. I would definitely recommend the back room for a party if you know you are going to get enough people to come. They can be a bit funny if not as you would expect as they are surviving off their takings like everyone else. But I have booked it for live bands and parties and all events went down a storm. Close enough to the cash machines, taxis and takeaways too.

A decent pub in the town centre of Rotherham (on Wellgate). They play a lot of indie and alternative music and occasionally have live bands on at the weekend.
There is a pool table, a couple of bandits and an okay seating/​smoking area outside which is relatively private.
The bar staff are friendly and there’s a large range of spirits, wines and beer available.
The place is popular with students and the drinks prices are reasonable to say it’s a town centre pub!
