It’s always a good sign when a place can’t fit you in for Sunday lunch, but luckily the weather was passable enough to eat outside, because this was a roast worth staying for! The chicken was succulent and fell off the bone, the veggies cooked really well and with a good variety including cauliflower cheese, and the Yorkshire pudding was massive and flavourful. Also tried some of the pork shoulder which was lovely and tender. Well worth a visit, just remember to prebook

Friendly pub in the quintessential Chiltern village of Sarratt, situated on the village green. Food and service both good(other review sites suggest this is a result of a change of management recently). You could almost argue that Sarratt is being unfair to other villages in having 3 good pubs(it also has The Cock and The Cricketers)
