A very interesting place, this. It was a very enjoyable experience overall but it kinda feel like it’s a missed opportunity. At least so far! It’s a pretty new restaurant in a lovely area, tho out of the way. They clearly take their food seriously and the flavours and presentation were top class at this price point. Particularly the squash soup, which was wonderfully savoury despite not using ham hock in the for the base(they used onion instead and it was divine). However, the ambience was simple to the point of austere and the bathrooms were clean but somewhat shabby-ish. And old building, I suppose. So let’s call 5 star food and 3 star environment = 4 stars!
