3 seems a little on the low side. I had an above-average burger and chips, with two very nice pints. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, though, at close to £20 all in, it wasn’t cheap. I personally prefer the beer at the Botanist across the street, but will probably try this place again at some point. All in all, a very decent, cozy place for dinner.

Stayed here during the summer-time on a planned layover in London. The hotel is situated relatively close to Heathrow(£ 20 cab ride). I arrived to the hotel very early on my check-in day…(understandably), they couldn’t check me in yet, but they did offer to store my luggage while I went into London for the day. The hotel is located about a 15 – 20 minute walk away from the Kew Gardens tube stop. Note that: if you need a ticket to travel on the Tube, the ticket office at this stop does not open until later in the day, however, they have automated ticket machines there. After arriving back, they checked me in. The room was nice, spacious, clean, quiet. I didn’t have much of a view, but I’m sure I could have asked for better. No complaints about the room at all… was very nice. I did eat at the pub, which was also pleasant experience. I put in for a wake up call, which was delivered promptly and asked them to call a cab for me, which was also done. Made it back to the airport with no problem! I would recommend staying here. My only complaint: upon checking out, I asked the man at the front desk to print a receipt and was told that he couldn’t print one because he didn’t check me in but one would be emailed to me(‘or something’). I didn’t really believe this, but was in a hurry to catch a flight. I still have yet to receive it via email, and am about to try to track someone down that can email me a copy. Slight Inconvenience.

Great little hotel/pub/restaurant. When we are in Kew and doing research at the National Archives, this is the only place we stay. I love getting one of the top floor rooms in the old part that has a view of the green, but be careful when big wedding-type groups are around, since they can get pretty noisy. They often run specials, so it’s worth getting on their email list if you think you might like to stay here and visit the gardens. The place is owned by Young’s, so expect to find all Young products, including a special beer just for Kew. If the pub is a little too grungy for you taste, the restaurant is quite good, and if you are still not happy, then walk to any of the three restaurants on the green(maybe four?), or walk into Kew where the rail station is located, about ½ mile away.

I find this pub expensive and lacking in Character. It is in a great location on kew green with free parking for customers but thats about it that i like. Food is over priced and lacking in quality. Staff behind the bar are quite young and spend a lot of time talking amongst themselves rather than focusing on the customer. I would say the only thing which keeps this pub in business is the regulars. With it’s proximity to the residential area most don’t want to walk too far so it’s perfect for them

On a recent pub crawl around the Kew Green area, we visited the Coach and Horses, mainly because we could sit outside and catch the last bit of sun. My boyfriend got the drinks in, and complained that it was expensive… I think it was around £8.50 for a bottle of Magners and a Kroenenburg. However, it seemed clean and tidy, and when we decided to go inside as it started to get chilly, it was quite cosy. Lots of mismatched old wooden furniture, gave it a nice old fashioned pub vibe. We were very tempted by the food which looked and smelt delicious, but we couldn’t find any menus. If this wasn’t the first pub on our pub crawl, I’m sure we would’ve eaten here after seeing the grub! It did occur to me that I was the only woman in the pub… it’s a strange mix of an «old man» pub with some suits. Anyway definitely worth a visit, that’s for sure!

Well kept Youngs ale and good food(at restaurant prices though, not pub prices!) in this comfy pub with a restaurant and a hotel attached. Free WiFi in the bar too.
