Went to bar varia with the family as it has a soft play area which is a huge bonus and gives me and the Mrs peace to enjoy a meal and a pint, we where soon to realise the place is over priced but you do have the play area and can take a drink out to watch the ski slopes or you can pre hire the ice bar downstairs, £3.70 a pint of lager!
Service was friendly but slow and unprofessional. We ordered a starter each and they came out 1 hour later with our main course! No starters.
They offered to give a sweet On The house and remove the starters from the bill as we never received them, we waited another 30 mins and this till wasn’t done and there where plates all over the table!
I asked to speak to the manager Jeff was his name, he had sympathy for the situation and whipped the bill for us and was a great guy, only reason I would go back is for the soft play area and the fact he wiped the bill for us.

The only thing going for this is the terrace where you can stand out in the cold and watch the skiers.
The price of a pint is obscene.
