The Lord Of The Isles

I do have a soft spot for a Weatherspoons, purely because it’s cheap, cheerful and you don’t have to scream over music alot of the time, however The Lord of The Isles is prob my favourite. It’s ideally located, the staff are always up for a bit of banter and it’s one of the only Weatherspoons I’ve came across which plays music, not to mention you can still talk and hear over it!
All in all I always know weather we’re just popping in or out for the night I don’t think I’ve never had a bad experience in here.

I’ve said it before, but by god I’ll say it again. Weatherspoons pub food is good, what’s more it’s consistent across all their pubs which I think is very important. I know if I go to a spoons the food will be decent and considering the value for money you get it is a competitive place to go.
We swung in here prior to hitting up the Odeon for a film, there were four of us and we ordered in couple but still got our food at the same time.
I had a delicious gourmet chilidog which I took a photo of to upload but Unilocal mobile app on my backberry hates me so I cannot seem to do it, definitely the phone or apps fault not mine ;-*
The chiiliedog was perfect, soft bun, well cooked hotdog and the chilli on top was fantastic, a little bit of spice but not so much that it hijacked everything else. I would definitely recommend it, but it was a big eat. The chips were also very nice, crisp on the outside fluffy on the inside and tasty throughout. Also as I always say in Wetherspoons reviews, get the onions rings they never let you down.
In general the place was busy but not mobbed and we got pleasant efficient service which couldn’t be faulted. Cheap drinks and cheap food which punches above its weight in terms of flavour. If you fancy something simlpe or something a wee bit cheaper that the other places within x-​scape this is a great alternative to TGI etc.

Where else at Xscape can you eat, drink and be merry on a budget? NOWHERE!
There are a variety of meals in the 2 for offers, including Chili, Macaroni cheese and sausage, beans and chips and more! There’s also burgers, steaks and curries.
The bar staff were friendly and helpful on our visit but did somehow get the table number wrong even though the guy repeated it back to me.
This is a great place to go and have noms before/​after the cinema or bowling.

Everyone needs a good local! The food is cheap and super yummy (especially the soup and sandwich deal for £2.99) and the drink isn’t to expensive either! The staff are pretty friendly and the service is quick! The décor isn’t amazing but it’s nice and relaxed and a good place for a night out or just a quiet get together! And because the front is all glass it’s freeeeeezing in the winter so that’s the only down side when the weather is rubbish bring a jumper!

As you would expect from a wetherspoon pub this pub offers great drink deals, and good value food. Nothing special food wise but good wholesome food nontheless. With main meals and snacks available and two mains for under a tenner you cant go wrong.
This pub is located in the Xscape venue so its a great place to spend your entire night. You can go for a drink, go bowling or go on the sky park.
Only downside being the wait for taxi’s and if you dont want to use a taxi you obviously need a designated driver as Braehead is rather far away from the city centre if you want to go out after closing time.
