great little pub with a restaurant at the back staff were great we ate in the bar in a corner snug specially prepared for us ideal valentine promotion soup it did look homemade wasnt the vile bright red colour chicken + bacon salad salmon terrine for starters mains bake salmon rump steak cajun chikcken creamy veggie pasta deserts cheescake sticky toffee pudd rum and choc mousse cofee and truffles glass of bubbly which was decent bubbly at that £16 per head brilliant very home cooked style salads were ordinary but still ok lettuce cucumber tomato roughly chopped but in big bowls dressed with balsamic starter of chicken and bacon salad was a bit greasy but good enough the main of baked salmon couldnt fault it new potatoes salad nice sauce to accompany the salmon the chips were nice and chunky didnt look frozen everyone was looked after very well laughing and joking with the great staff we even asked them about a film star we couldnt name who is the old guy in oceans 11 the one with the great big glasses answer elliot gould but we couldnt place him and they gave us sammy davis junior wrong year but good answer still the same ok back to the meal we had a bottle of hardy stamp bubbly 13.50 which was nice as well the rest were on the real ale I had sip of 2 of them sorry CAMRA can’t remember what they were on our way here we turned round in the Neville arms nearby would like to read a review of that if its availeb qypers get out there and try it for me please desserts cheesecake none of this pre pared stuff this was real homemade my choc mouse was v rich and alcholi a really great night pleae go and try i loved it
