Well, we discovered this lovely looking pub by chance. We were looking for Anthony Worrell Thompsons pub, which was supposed to be in Gallowstree Common(it is in fact in the next village along in Peppard Common), but we discovered this place which is on the main road. A lovely old looking pub, which had a great old fashioned pub feel to it. We decided to have some drinks and then a small lunch. The beers were all by Brakespeare, and the usual run of the mill type lagers on offer. Nothing fancy. Food wise, we decided to just have soup, so we went for that, and we were very pleased. At £4.50 each, it was fairly cheap fare, but very tasty too. One of the nicest soups ive had!!. It came with 2 bread rolls. The menu also offered things like Steak and ale pie with mash, as well as burgers and rack of ribs. All reasonably priced around the 7 – 8 pound mark. The staff was friendly and helpful, the place was clean and welcoming. Would go there again definately!
