New Inn

Breakfast is delicious. If you are staying at the inn you have the choice of the full English in regular or veggie, continental and eggs on toast. Tea and coffee, OJ an yogurts and cereals for self serve. I did not get the name of the gentleman preparing breakfast but both days we got the regular and the vegetarian English breakfasts with poached and scrambled eggs. everything was spot on, really filling and delicious.
our stay at the inn was truly very pleasant. the rooms are decent with lots of rustic features and the bathrooms are large. there is complimentary tea coffee and still and sparkling water in the room. very pleasant would love to stay there again if in the area. I would only note that when busy it may be difficult to get the food out on time. (hence the one less star)… however… I am still salivating at the thought of their chips… divine!

Awesome pub. Lovely food but it’s expensive so I only tend to eat here in special occasions.

New Inn still good but the Landlord/​Chef from Squidmonkey visit nows runs the Bottle and Glass in Bifield Heath

Well, I went here about a week ago, as we were walking in the area, so we thought we would drop in. Lovely medium sized pub, with 2 sides. As we had a dog, we went in the pub side, where we nesteled in the corner. Attractive bar, and fire (which wasn’t being used on a freezing cold sunday??), as well as nice seating arrangements.
Didn’t really look into the beer selections as I was driving, but the ladies had a glass of mulled wine each at a very well priced £2.00 a glass. Perfect on such a cold day.
Food wise, we all went for the roast and at £9.50 per person we weren’t dissapointed, with giant sized yorkshire puddings, stuffing balls, roasties and more veg you can wave a stick at! Perfect sunday food! The menu gave a full selection of different English meals such as duck, steak etc etc.
The staff were halpfu land friendly and the cook also gave our dog extra spuds as he was being so good!
We didn’t have a look at the restaurant as it was too busy, so can’t comment.
Overall, we all said that we would come here again, and would recommend it to any of our friends!
