Every time happy with it

After reading previous reviews was looking forward to eating here. Total disappointment. Not sure if caught on a bad day (5.6.10), but inside service was appalling. The takeaway seemed to be running well, but inside we had to wait over 30 mins, which is inexcusable in a fish and chip shop. It wasn’t even busy. Add to that, the meal was just about ok. 25% of the chips were inedible due to potato quality and the fish was more batter than fish. To cap it all, the drinks were warm as we were told the fridge had broken down. This could be excellent if it got its act together, but sadly they abuse the location they have, which will always provide business.

Just talking about Peter’s yesterday and saying how it was not as good as it used to be, but after a visit and eating the pollack and chips, decided it’s still the best. Eating in or taking away the food is the same, and still good value for money, a little improvement in the service would be the only request. Long opening hours, the chance to park outside, and proximity to the beach and bars make it popular, and still better than the nearby opposition.

One of the best fish and chip shops in Thanet. Pete’s fish factory is next to the arcades, very close to the beach and harbour. They sell all the usual food, various types (they often have offers on fish and chip meals), pies, sausages, etc. You can get your food to take away or take advantage of the waitress service in the café style restaurant (very basic but clean).
