I went her for lunch with a friend for a late lunch, we got there at after 2pm, so not too busy. Although the parking was a bit of a mare. We waited — not too long but enough — to be seated and were shown to our tables, where the waiter did point out the drinks, specials and normal menus. Shortly after, our waitress came over introduced herself and took our order. For starters it was garlic bread and mozzarella in breadcrumbs. The garlic bread was as straight forward as it goes really, but I have to say, I only had one mouthful and boy, was that garlic strong. The mozzarella was nice enough, not quite sure what the salsa was from, but it just tasted like cold tinned chopped tomatoes and nothing to write home about. For mains my friend has the spaghetti carbonara, which she said was nice enough, although really quite dry. To look at it did appear that it was seriously lacking any sauce. I had the diavola pizza. It was good enough as I was starving, but it wan’t «yummy» it «did the job». The waitress was a nice enough girl to be fair. The food came out really quickly. All in all it was an average experience. I know it is a chain, so the prices are the same everywhere, but I am thinking that you can definitely get better food elsewhere for the same money. I’d only go back if all the other restaurants in the area were too busy to park/get a table at.

Regularly visit Prezzo in Harrow(it’s where we go before we go to see a film!), this wasn’t actually our first choice of restaurant. We’d thought about going to a pub a couple of hundred yards up the road — board outside saying meals all day — only to be told they weren’t serving food! We drove up Watling Street to see what other restaurants might take our fancy and saw a greek mezze restaurant but my husband looked at the menu outside and wasn’t keen, hence going over the road to Prezzo. It seemed quite busy, were given a table for two tucked away in a corner, although I wouldn’t say the place was full up they obviously don’t have many tables for two! Another noisy restaurant down to the marble floors and tiling. Waitress had strong foreign accent and my husband mis-heard her ask if we wanted drinks and proceeded to talk about a starter! We asked for olives to be brought whilst we were waiting for our main meals. When the food arrived, however, it all got brought together! The manager was going to take it away(and, presumably, keep it hot) but we told him just to serve them to us. No complaints about the food. I was, however, a bit surprised by the manager poking his head around the corner to ask if the food was alright, which I wasn’t expecting. He did apologise for startling me but I do think he should have taken the trouble to walk round to our table to ask us. When it came to the bill(and having a Tastecard does mean we eat our more regularly because we get 50% off or 2 for 1) the manager came up with the card reader even though we actually had cash to pay. They say you should never assume(it makes an ass out of U and me!) and this is so true!

This was once«The Railway» pub, ceilings are low in places and there aren’t a lot of soft furnishings so it can get a little noisey. Food is good, service excellent and often quite busy so usually has a good feel about it. Not badly priced — parking can be a headache, but that is typical of this side of Radlett.

Have been to Prezzo a number of times and it can get quite busy here, so would definitely recommend you book as we have been turned away at the door. Both the service and the food can be a bit hit and miss, but has not been that bad that it has deterred me from going again. Last time I went the dauphinoise potatoes arrived looking very crispy on the outside and only lukewarm on the inside. Although I have never had a problem with any of the pasta or pizza dishes I’ve ordered. If you want something average — ie the food, price and service then this would be adequate.

We were very impressed with the food the 1st time we went although the customer service was not very good. The next 2 times we went the food was not very nice at all. A colleague ordered minastrone soup that looked and tasted like it came out of a can! Service again was vey bad. Wont be going back there in a hurry
