The Old Dog Inn

This is one of the pubs I went in on one of my first nights out with college some time back and it is has a local pub atmosphere but has been closed for short periods over the last few years and the landlords don’t seem to have settled there but the pub was recently taken over by a group of door staff that seem to be doing a really good job in improving the pub to how it was and keeping some of the trouble makers away which is good as it sometimes gets rowdy in there.
The prices are a bit on the expensive side and there’s no real ale but they have some special offers from time to time.
There is a pool table and the pub shows Sky Sports-it’s open till 4 am some days -£1 entrance fee so it’s an alternative to a club or the other late night bars.

A proper little locals pub on one of Preston’s main high street. The bar staff are smart & very friendly, the beer is good & is of a good price and the are a couple of screens for the main sporting events.
I celebrated New Year 2003 in there and there was a really good atmosphere that night!
