This is a bar in the centre of Preston that gets very busy at the weekends and offers cheap deals during the week-it’s a good bar to visit on Thursdays where you pay £2 to get in and £1 for a wide selection of drinks. It has recently had a soft refurbishment but the layout is much the same-2 floors with another bar on the 1st floor, only opened usually at weekends-there’s no beer garden but there’s a few tables outside at the front on the street. The food is ok for a light lunch but not that good. There is a DJ several nights of the week and there several offers throughout the week-the beer isn’t great and on Fridays and Saturdays it recently seems to be getting quite rowdy and not a place I would recommend-there is usually Sky Sports so it’s ok for watching the football but other than that would only go in for quick beer or cheap drinks on a Thursday.

My worst EVER experience in a pub, in the space of 8 days in April 2009, I got sworn at by a member of staff, I had the f* word shouted at me(twice) then over a week later, the SAMEMEMBEROFSTAFF kept me waiting for about 10 minutes, while he was shifting furniture, the pub only had 4 people in it at the time. I wrote a letter of complaint to the manager, but I’ve NEVER had a reply, so this is one pub you’ll never see me visiting again, despite being a regular customer there for 6 years. Don’t be fooled by Thursday night’s £2 to get in, £1 a drink. The beer is very watery and there are far better places to visit on a Thursday nights. The door staff can be complete tossers as well, particularly on Thursday nights and at the weekends!

I would say this is a pub/club in the town centre surrounded by other bars and clubs. The pub is split into two levels and is very long and narrow. Lively witha good atmosphere and good music. The bar alwys seems to have some good offers which keeps everybody happy. The toilets are situated at the far end of the pub and are kept nice and tidy. I have never been in the day and therefore am unable to comment on the food that is on offer. The bar staff are always friendly and happy and there is a taxi rank more or less outside the venue which is very handy.

This is one of my favourite pubs to go to on a night out in Preston. They have really cheap prices especially on a Thursday night when its £1 a bottle or pint. You can also get a discount card of the door staff which gives you half price entry into the pub. It has two floors with bars on both of them and they always have a live DJ in the evenings. During the day they serve food to and its a nice quiet place to go to for a meal. At night it comes alive and does get quite busy with the students but always has a good atmosphere.
