Tesco Stores

This is on the corner of Mutton Lane and Mimms Hall Road and is very small. It has a cash machine and 2 self service tills. It is opposite Furzefield Leisure Centre and near to the Cranborne Industrial Estate so very handy for locals. They sell sandwiches and all the essentials. There is a bakery section selling buns and rolls and cakes etc but it’s too close to Christmas for me to look at that section. I called in today for some light bulbs and got the energy saving type for 10p each which made my day.
There are two downsides with this Tesco Express. Firstly the parking. It is in a little service road which is always very full. It is better to park in the pub, in Furzefield or along Mimms Hall Road but then you have a little walk. The second bad thing is that there are always trolleys full of cardboard rubbish at the front of the shop. It makes the whole area look untidy. My son spoke about the «rubbish Tesco» and I knew immediately which one he meant and prompted me to write this review. I don’t think they could do much about the parking but the rubbish they could.

Staff are generally friendly and the store stocks most things you need. Occassionally the shelves do seem very empty and they run low on necessities. Easy store to shop at as it doesn’t take hours to get round the whole store. Good parking and trollies readily available which don’t need a pound coin to use. never have to queue for long and plenty of self service checkouts

The clothes are not updated frequently, they hang around for weeks, which is why there is always a sale. This store is sometimes quite untidy, and some of the staff are quite surly. Re-​stocking is done in the evenings, and they have plenty of gaps beforehand. One Sunday they had run out of frozen yorkshire puds at lunchtime, and an assistant told me oh we ALWAYs run out of those on a Sunday morning… it’s not rocket science to order more if that’s true?

This store is easy to find your way around and they are pretty good at regularly restocking the shelves.
They have a pretty large clothing section, where items always seem to be on sale!
Fruit and veg here is always reliable and they are always doing offers on these items.
Their ‘free from’ section is good here too and always has various products suitable for different dietary requirements.
