No doubt the best Sunday lunch ever. I have picky relatives and they were silent. Enough said. Cider is awesome. Always a good selection of beers. Barman is a star. Gwyneth is so adorable I could squeeze her. Lovely lady and always willing to pitch in for a local cause. We are lucky to have this pub as a local. =)

The Crown Inn is how a pub should be. Good drinks on offer behind the bar including Real Ales and the drinks are reasonably priced. Salvo and Gwyneth the landlord and landlady are very friendly people and always have a smile on their faces(which is more than most pub owners have) and will always come and chat with the customers. You will always find food being served at the pub from 12 till 2.30pm and 6 till 8.45pm. Always a good mixture to choose from and it is always top notch. Most weekends you will find a live band playing in the pub and most the time the music provided is sport on. The TV is never normally on unless there a major sporting event happening(football, rugby etc.) This is a great pub that everyone should visit as lest once if they get the opportunity to.

This is a lovely pub, really warm and welcoming. It’s right on the A473 between Treforest and Talbot Green with plenty of parking at the back. The inside has recently been redecorate with a warm neutral feel and the outside is currently being painted purple! There’s a good selection of real ales(my housemate is a CAMRA member and he loves their choices). For non beer drinkers then there are plenty of other options available both alcoholic and soft alike. We often go there for the quiz on a Sunday and they put on a lovely selection of sandwiches and the friendly rivalry and banter is great. If you are going for the quiz, get their early to secure a table otherwise you won’t hear the questions!

This pub is I think the most unusual that I have come across .The outside of the building looks in need of refurbishment and there is little indication that this is an inn during the day. However at night a string of lights proclaims its true function. Inside there is a further puzzle as the door opens up into a large well lit area of chairs and tables these suggesting a restaurant rather than a pub No food was visible when I was there on a Sunday evening only a plate containing one or two sandwiches The whole of the customers were studiously engaged in a quiz at the tables. It was quite a while before the landlord appeared at the bar to serve me and although he was pleasant enough, I had the distinct impression that I was intruding on a private function. There were two draft beers on sale ‘HB’ and Speckled hen’ I sampled the HB which was in first class condition with the added attraction that members of the campaign for real ale(CAMERA) showing proof of membership can buy beer at a discount(20p off a pint) Sunday night is always a quiz night and is obviously very popular. The quiz starts at 8.30pm and it is obvious that I should have attended earlier to obtain the full benefit of the evening. Friday and Saturday there is live music although what form this takes was not apparent. There is a car park at the rear of the premises but egress is difficult as the pub is on a busy bend.
