Though this small, modest restaurant has seen a decline in popularity since the larger Taste of the East opened just a few doors down, it is still a really good place to find authentic Chinese food. With a simple interior decorated with typical Chinese paraphernalia such as paper lamps and dragon designs, there are numerous tables scattered neatly around the room. The plain and simple furnishings are a stark contrast with the food that hits the plate, as each dish is bursting with flavour. They have put together a great menu with a wide selection to choose from, meaning even the most fussy of customers are catered for. If you don’t have time to sit down in the restaurant or if you’d just prefer to eat in the comfort of your own home, they also offer a take away service. The owner of the business is a local legend and knows many of the regular customers by name, which adds to the Pagoda’s appeal. But with a larger competitor just down the road, this restaurant doesn’t get as much custom as it should, which is a shame because it is a really good Chinese restaurant. Severely underrated in my opinion.

Ive only ever had takeaways from her so cant really comment on the actually restaurant itself. Food is brought out quickly and is always hot and delicious. Prices are as you would expect of a chinese. Premises always appear clean and staff are friendly knowing alot of customers by first name.
