Just around the corner from Scott’s Diner, China Village is a small Chinese take-away service in the Llantwit Fardre area. As Chinese take-aways go, China Village is pretty much your average take-away house. The food is good, the service is usually pretty snappy but the value for money is excellent. While they do offer a fully comprehensive list of individual dishes, the set menus are where the real deals are. A meal for two will set you back around £15 but you get a lot of food for your trouble: a selection of starter dishes, such as prawn toast, spring rolls and chicken skewers, along with a small variety of the usual suspects for mains, including Chow Mein and sweet and sour chicken, along with a generous helping of fried rice and prawn crackers. All in all, a good place to get a take-away if you get that weekend hunger itch that’s in need of a hefty scratch.
