Rub Smokehouse & Bar

Great food and lots of it! Been before a few times and consistently good. Background music a little loud but I suppose it was Friday night.
Staff attentiveness was on and off last night eg no one to say thanks and good night to!

Arrived at 16:10 on Saturday afternoon for a very late lunch with wife and baby in buggy, only to find the last table went to the couple in front of us, AND they were fully booked through to 22:00! Wow. The place was HEAVIN’ and there was a constant stream of people arriving and leaving.
However, we were able to get a bar high table (which was better with the buggy) and get served straight away. The staff were very understanding and attentive, and service was quick.
Music is quite loud, making conversation difficult, plus they played Bieber at us!
Now the food and drink. Wife had a Brisket platter with extra ribs and I had the Rub burger med rare with the normal skin-​on fries swapped to sweet potato fries.
I was slightly bemused to see my Peanut butter and salted caramel shake be delivered in a… 70’s style milk bottle?! Weird, but it works, although the straw is too short to reach right to the bottom.
Brisket was very nice — moist and tasty. We thought the ribs were very dry, but we were told this was because they are a southern smoked Alabama style rib.
The burger was ok, I’d give it ⁸⁄₁₀.
Atmosphere was very smoky inside.
Would definitely go back as the menu is huge.
