There is no question that the quality and presentation of the food is excellent. Three of us arrived at lunch time on Saturday and found the place quiet — not a good sign, we thought. However, the people there seemed quite content and we saw 2 plates of food come out while we were waiting — both were beautifully presented. We ordered different starters and mains — a good move as it meant that we could swap portions over. The meals were very different — spicy, sour, hot– so the variety made the experience even more enjoyable! The set lunch price was good — £7.95 for 2 courses — but the drinks were expensive — £2 — £3 for soft drinks. There was a £10 set menu with several small courses — next time this is what we’ll try as the ‘taster’ we had this time left us wanting more!

Thai restaurant on the river. The concept reminds me of my favorite Thai place in Bangkok. Of course, the food is much better in Bangkok than in Norwich. The interior of the restaurant are made of all wooden panels. It’s cozy and warm spot. I wasn’t crazy about the food, it was small in portions. The curry dishes and«kao niao» with ice-cream was really nice. I was told that Thai food in Norwich was rather salty. I wish they added stronger spices. A nice evening spot where you can look over the river. I would rather be at dining at the Chao Phraya river anytime of day.

Pretty cool that it’s on a boat and the dining room windows are right at the water line, so when you look out onto the river you get some interesting views of large water fowl landing and taking off. The food was decent. The Tom Yum Goong was saltier and not quite as sour or spicy as I’m used to, which threw me off at first. I also tasted a red curry, a spicy seafood plate, and a good basil beef dish. It was all tasty.
