This really is craft heaven! Everything under one roof. Any craft you can think of is catered for. Look out for the dump bins of sale stuff — fantastic savings there, as some things can be quite pricey.

This is a huge one stop shop for every possible type of craft and hobby — hence the name! They stock a wide range of fabrics, wools and accessories for needlework. They also have very good art supplies. A wide range of card making stuff as well. A good place to get wedding supplies — like favours and flowers. They also stock Warhammer products and now Model railways and Dolls House products. They often have craft demonstrations and some very good special offers. The only problem here is the terrible parking — car park simply not big enough for the volume of customers.

Hobbcraft is a really large store split over two floors with every single craft item for sale that you can possibly want. Ranges include sewing and cross stitch, card, paper, photo frames, glues, embellishments, glass painting, build your own model railways and other items, doll making and so much more, the list is endless. There are loads of leaflets around the store with craft ideas on that show you step by step guides on how to complete a project which are great. There are usually plenty of staff around on the shop floor which are pretty helpful when it comes to finding items that you need. It is the first place that I think of when wanting to do a craft project because you can get so much here, although it is quite a bit more expensive than high street stores. You could probably get some of the items in places like Wilkinsons or Poundland for a lot less, but the variety wouldn’t be there. The parking is a bit of a nightmare at weekends as the car park is shared with Matalan which is next door and sometimes it is impossible to get a space which is frustrating.

hobby craft does exactly what it says on the tin, it is basically a large shop with stuff to buy for hobbies and um crafts! this shop is well laid out, although being on 2 floors is awkward if you have kids etc its quite pricey but stocks some unique stuff!

My only complaint about this hobbycraft is the parking and location, its extremely busy and frustrating to get parked however Its a great place to start a new hobby and they have a fantastic range of models to make, creative card supplies, scrapbooking, something for all ages spread on 2 floors. The staff inside are helpful and friendly, and the store also has a selection of informative leaflets to give you some ideas for crafting. Recommended.

I find Hobbycraft quite expensive but there is nowhere else to get that much of a range and variation on art and craft stuff! You can find books, help to start a new hobby, many types of card and paper, craft kits for adults and children, free ideas leaflets, a massive scrapbooking section, pens, pencils, paints, wool, rug making, model making, warhammer and tons moreyou name it they prob have got it! Its really good!!!
