Karaōke nights Sunday. Good fun, good people, good book selection.
(I am quickly turning into the go-​to woman on Unilocal for Northampton karaōke night reviews. Someone recognise how specialist that is and congratulate me on my laser focus.)

A great traditional pub not a foodie pub but it has a unique atmosphere with regulars and visitors. There is a good range of lagers and sootyward’s review is right the Banks is lush, but then when you keep your beer cellar and pipes as clean as Pete Russell, it is hardly surprising it’s a nice pint but the Guinness drinkers are also in for treat. Well worth a visit but as previously mentioned it does get fairly busy from Thursday onwards.

pete & marlene often provide entertainment on these evenings from 8.30 to close
pete keeps an excellent cellar — try the banks’s, it’s lush
