Sorry folks, this is another victim of the credit crunch. This restaurant closed in October 2008 — I only noticed when I went past last week but have checked on the internet and found an article about it. Sad.

I really enjoyed this place. Menu is great albeit mre pricy than others but well worth it, great to go somewhere for a proper meal out, surroundings are lovely and the staff compliment the already great atmosphear, will definatley be returning here

Terry — chef and owner is Mr Ramseys first winner of Hells Kitchen. The one with the mashed potato?!
Lovely atmosphere, can get noisy but it fits. Staff are exceptionally helpful and have the ability to have a good chuckle.
Superb wine selection — careful on the prices.
Food — FABULOUS — go for the Scollops!
Mid to upper range in prices — well worth it for a special occasion.

This restaurant probably doesn’t mean to be a well kept secret, but that it how it feels. It deserves to be bustling, especially at the weekend; but I was there on a Friday night, in one of only three small groups to enter the place the whole time we were there. The food is not cheap (I had lamb for a main course at around £18), but nor is it over priced. The quality is really good, the staff are helpful and friendly, the décor is classy, and the atmosphere relaxed. An excellent date venue, especially as Bernaccia, a bar which often features live music, is right next door. Next time you are looking for a nice place to eat, visit this restaurant. Stop it from being so overlooked!
