The restaurant is more about entertaining the customers than the food. It is really good for groups. You are seated around a cooking table whilst the chef cooks the food in front of you. If it is your birthday, he forms the rice into your name and you can try flipping an egg whilst wearing a chef hat. The menu is extensive with set menus and other dishes. Food portions are quite small, best to have a set menu as you get loads to eat. It is several small dishes cooked fresh on the hot table as well as rice and salad. Menus are fairly expensive but you do get enough food so value for money. They also do a lunch menu which is a lot cheaper.

Good food, big prawns (texas size kind of big), although the guy in the front is not really the most nicest guy around-​grumpy!!! the rest of the employees are nice & accommodating so i’ll still give them 4 stars :)

A really great place to go for something different, especially if there was a large group going. None of us had been and all thought it was good food and entertainment.
The menu is quite complicated with a large combinations of set menus or main courses. The set menus are a nice way to try a large variety of the restaurants dishes. I had the duck main which came with a Fujiyama salad, miso soup, fried rice and vegetables. The salad was a little disappointing but what I expected for a Japanese restaurant — simple supermarket salad with a spicy mayo. The duck was nice although don’t expect to get your rice with your duck unless you want to eat the duck cold (still good though).

This is a great place to come if you want to be entertained as a family There is a waiting area for you to sit in before you are shown to your table. The tables are encasing a chef who cooks your meal in front of your eyes while doing the occasional trick. For starters you can have anything from steak to fried tofu. As a main meal you can have sushi or something sliced and diced in front of you. My favorite dish is the bean curd udon noodles you will probably have to slurp though so not good for a first date. They do have a early eater set menu if you want to have a lot but pay a little less, if you want to try great food at a place with a fantastic fun atmosphere this is the place to go

Decent place for tepan yaki. You really can’t top the lunch special for under 8 pounds, I don’t even think you can have such prices even in the U.S. The best part of the meal is that the chef cooks in front on you and performs all sorts of tricks and keeps it interactive. One of my friends took part where she put on a chef hat, the chef flips an egg into the air with the spatula, and she had to catch the egg into the hat. Unfortunately, the egg cracked and got all over her hair. Not too pleasant for her, but more entertainment for us!

This is the place that a lot of the newcastle players go to eat. The food is cooked in front of you. We informed them that someone we had with us had a peanut allergy but they appear to have managed to still put something with them in his food as he had a bad reaction
They have several vegatrian meals and the food is well cooked and fresh just be careful when you go if you have allergies
