religious place, lots of schools in the area visit here as it is one of the oldest shrines to our lady of lourdes. seems to bring in tourists from all over, scotland and the north of england, you will also find a few foreigners visiting here over the year. it promotes all religions and is very informative, the gardens are really lovely and there is a gift shop selling prayer books, bibles cards, religious medals and lots of different gifts, there is also a café selling refreshments, meals and snacks. i know school kids have days out here to learn about different faiths and religions as my sons have all visited at some point during primary school.
