The Hub is probably the best area of central MK, especially as part of the Theatre District look tired. As the other contributors mentioned it, you will virtually find all the high street restaurant chains, from burgers to pizzas and more upmarket eateries like Brasserie Blanc. If you are in MK and need somewhere to stay/eat this is probably where you would want to be.

The Hub is a new area of Milton Keynes made up of several restaurants and bars. It has an up-market image as the venues look expensive(probably because they’re new) and it is quite a trendy place to be. They are obviously looking to draw in groups of business people from the local offices and people staying at the nearby Jury’s Inn. Restaurants include Ha Ha, Zizzi’s, Gourmet Burger, Nandos, Loch Fyne, Café Rouge and La Tasca. I’ve been to most of the restaurants and they were all of a very good standard. The price is also reasonable and cheaper than you would expect.

The Hub is an excellent, up-market part of Milton Keynes, where you can eat good quality food and have a really good, sophisticated night out. The restaurants range from Nandos, to Raymond Blanc’s so you can choose to spend as little and as much as you like. It all feels very up-market and sophisticated and if you don’t want the young experience of the theatre district, this is the place for you. There are also a couple of cafes and a piano bar which is a great experience. There are also hotels at the hub, so perfect for business or a romantic weekend! Have fun.

As a native Milton Keynes person it was a real find and eye opener to realise that this was here. It is geared more to adults as a night out, which I think is lovely as there are plenty of family friendly places available. There’s all sorts of resturants to choose from, and they start at really affordable to quite expensive — saying that one of the restuarants is owned by a celebrety french cheff — its one of his chains :) So depending on what you want you’ll get what you pay for.

If you’re new or a visitor to Milton Keynes and looking for somewhere to eat or drink then head to The Hub and you’ll have a huge variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from. I’m afraid to say I’d not even realised all these cafes were there until this April and I think many had been open some time already. There’s a fantastic fountain in the middle of the area which is mesmerising for a toddler. Other than that though I’d say it’s generally geared towards adults. Restaurants include Ha Ha, Café Rouge, Loch Fyne, Zizzi, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Nandos. Coffee shops include Starbucks and Gloria Jeans Coffee. Also round the corner a new, bigger Sainsburys has recently opened, which potentially means more free parking spaces if you’re shopping in there at the same time too!(There are only limited free parking spaces in the area the rest of the time unless you’re there at the weekend when all spaces are free)
