Been here for 5 days in this horribly maintained hotel. Hilton needs to remove their name from the front of this building. I say… Go to the Double Tree here in Milton Keynes. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. In fact, my co worker had decided that his bed was so bad, the floor was more comfortable. I however, wouldn’t chance sleeping on that floor. Seeing that the floor had the musty odor of mold and spores I thought it best to stay with the crappy bed. Thankfully the non air conditioned room came with a fan to blow the smell around. I wonder if the smell was actually coming from the floor in the bathroom? My first shower proved that the head of the shower had been poorly maintained or recently broken. As the water was swapped from faucet to shower head the actual head popped off and water went EVERYWHERE including under the poorly lined flooring that touched the tub. The point to all this: I NEVERWRITETHISLONGOF A REVIEW, this must be a real complaint. Be advised.

I’ve had a lovely stay. Give or take a few pounds this hotel cost a similar price to a nearby Premier Inn price and it has been worth every penny. The staff have been courteous and helpful and it’s lovely to be away from home again on business and feel proactively looked after. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the breakfast was a really high quality smörgåsbord. And to cap it all I’ve sat in the sauna and steam room and feel thoroughly relaxed and ready for work tomorrow. The food has been a consistently good standard. Very very minor glitches are that the selection of terrestrial TV channels is limited(eg no BBC4) and the jacuzzi is not at all warm. Not really a hot tub, only a bubbly tub, but otherwise a great venue. In contrast the free Wifi is quite adequate for emails(latency 25ms download 0.9Mb/sec) but a FaceTime call to my little daughter was slow and jumpy and I’d have needed to buy a Wifi day pas(approx £14.00) to get more band width. Still… Better free service than some hotel’s paid-for Wifi. I managed to catch up with all my emails and send a couple of documents with no difficulty.

When I think Hilton, I think luxury, but I’m wrong. Hilton = motel, but with a price tag that suggests it should be better than it really is. Tired and old, but at least the shower and bed were decent. Breakfast is outdated — no vegetarian option out — and no indication of where you can get it. My parents, veterans of the Hilton were able to tell me after that I just needed to make a special order. It would have been nice to have been made aware of that. Overall, I wouldn’t exactly rush back to stay here when in the land of the concrete cow. It’s not worth the money.

Dingy and outdated, it’s hard to give this Hilton many props. But, I agree with these prior reviews in that the staff are outstanding — kind, responsive, and good natured, despite the countless problems we encountered. No air conditioning?! Granted, the 30+C degree heat was unusual for England, but this lack of infrastructure was disappointing — and we were absolutely miserable with only a pitiful little fan in our room. The wifi was a struggle… the TV didn’t work at first… oy! oy! We were in Milton Keynes for a visit to Open University — but I will only visit upon train from London from here on out!

We stayed here during the Swedish House Mafia show. I’m full-on impressed with the staff. They had so much patience! Drunken guests kept dropping their glasses, playing music loudly, were untidy, etc, but they kept their smiles and served us without complaining. The Hilton should be proud of their employees at the hotel; I’ve never experienced such a patient group of people. Our rooms were large and very tidy. The bed was really comfortable, too! I only have one complaint, and that was the water pressure in the toilet and shower. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby; just ask for the code. Otherwise, you can pay for WiFi in your room. The breakfast buffet was okay. The usual warm dishes; eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, tomatoes and mushrooms. The usual cold dishes; cheeses, vegetables, ham. You could also make your own waffes. Nice play to stay.

Typical Hilton: good sized room, plenty of parking and all the usual bars, restaurants and room service. Did an overnight stay to attend a function and managed to get B&B for £70 for two, which isn’t too bad. The place, somewhat surprisingly, isn’t well signposted from Grove Road but you can’t miss it once you’ve turned into Timbold Drive and has a large private car park.

I booked this hotel as a stopover while on a recent trip down south and one of the prime reasons I booked it was for its leisure facilities. As it turned out the swimming pool and leisure facilities were shut due to refurbishment which was pretty dissapointing. The hotel was as expected more of a corporate venue but it was comfortable and well organised and the bar area and restaurant was pretty good for a reasonable price. Its location is out of town near corporate offices and it would not be suitable to stay here without the use of a car as its not very near any amenities.

This place was a dump. It’s now been very nicely refurbished and if you go on line you can get a room with breakfast for £50 if you are lucky. I was really impresssed with the place. Reception and restaurant are gleaming with modern décor. The rooms are quite large and have decent LCDTV’s. I would go for this every time in Milton Keynes if the rate was right.
