Hogshead Middlesbrough

loved this place, was really good, drinks were good prices, pol table but sadly as already stated, the place closed and is now a tesco, shame!

Not a bad place to go at all.
With deals on the drinks and food it isn’t too expensive, and the staff members are all friendly giving the place a great atmosphere.
This is a really good place to go with a group of friends for a catch up and a chat, as you can normally get seating and it isn’t too loud so you can have a conversation. If you are looking for somewhere full of young people screaming and shouting then this probably isn’t the place for you, but if you are looking for a relaxing evening with a few drinks then you cannot go wrong at all.

This place isnt here anymore, which is a shame because the food used to be cheap and lovely. It closed down last year sometime after a big bozzey party and a sale on the remaining alcohol what a way to go.

Nice pub, clean, friendly staff and good atmosphere.
They always have deals on with the drinks and food so you can get fed and watered pretty cheaply.
This isn’t a really loud and energetic pub, it’s great for a nice quiet drink though.

The Hogshead is located on Corporation Road right in the centre on Middlesbrough, if you have trouble finding it look for the Centre north East building and its fairly close. The pub is normally always busy primarily due to its location, it is not a modern an chic club like a lot in Middlesbrough these days, it is a traditional pub that serves typical pub lunches. I have eaten here several times as I use to work in the vicinity, they are ideal if you are on a lunch break as most of the food arrives in about 20 minuets. They offer a good range of specials at reasonable prices. On an evening I haven’t actually went here drinking, it strikes me more of an older generation place, the décor is quite nice but again not really aimed at the younger generation, it is wooden throughout and quite a dark pub. Great place to stop and have a pint and a burger during the day
