Really can’t fault it. I eat here most days as it’s right next to work and I’m always in a rush. Value for money wise it’s probably the best around.

TL;DR — Gorgeous interior, great food, but a bit lacking on atmosphere. We were looking for somewhere healthy for lunch and Wahu seemed to tick the box — make your own food by picking a base(e.g. rice or sweet potato), a protein(e.g. halloumi or chicken) plus vegetables and sauce. You can also go with one of their pre-designed meals instead. I went for green thai chicken which came with wholemeal rice, broccoli, peas and beans. Sparky went for teriyaki chicken with the same accompaniments. Both dishes were prepared freshly and were really delicious. It’s that kind of heathy food which makes you wonder if it really is healthy because it tastes so good. So if the food was so good, why 3⁄5? Well, they have some lovely looking smoothies and juices on the menu… but they don’t do them in winter so we had to go with bottled drinks instead. Nice, but why have things on the menu when you don’t offer them for a big chunk of the year. Also, service was polite but nobody behind the counter seemed particularly enthusiastic about their jobs. We also saw one customer having to clean his own table because staff weren’t on top of clean up. We’d definitely come back here. Fresh, healthy food at very reasonable prices — their service just needs a bit of improvement.

We were looking for a lunch that wouldn’t cost us an arm and a leg and found Wahu in Spinning Fields. At £5−6 for a wrap it was not exactly cheap but we were in the middle of town. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed — with my wrap and with the operation of service. It was a queue and watch your wrap/box meal get made kind of affair(think brighter Subways). The manager was at the front anxiously telling where the staff should stand and shouting«who’s next?» and because they passed your sandwich along to the 4 different people behind the counter, you have to tell each one what you’re having. I was mainly disappointed that unlike Subways, you don’t get the salad part of the sandwich for free but instead you have to pay 50p per salad component on top of the £5 you’re paying already for the meat/protein of choice! I got a skimpy chicken chipotle wrap and a very milky cup of tea. Wished I had gone to Pret or somewhere else.

Am a ultra fan of Wahu. The staff are friendly, the venue is clean and the food is great! What more could you ask for? I recommend the Thai Chicken and Rice Box — nomalicious!

I’ve wanted to try Wahu for quite some time now and after seeing that they’ve recently upgraded(mainly the outside area) I decided that they must be doing well so today was the day. I went along with a work colleague during our lunch break. When we arrived the queue was rather large(as you should expect at this time of day), but the staff work hard and you get served quickly. The menu isn’t very big, there are rice boxes, pasta boxes, wraps and salads. You get to pick a meat(or haloumi), two extras, such as veg or salad items and then a sauce. Everything is fresh and they cook the meat to order. All pasta and rice is wholemeal, so Wahu meals are clearly a fresh and healthy food option bought to the area. There’s plenty of seating inside and also a rather large outside seating area too, so it’s easy to find a seat, even in the lunchtime rush. I ordered a salmon pasta box with peas and broccolli. Everything was cooked well, however the flavour was a little lacking. The portion size was just right for lunch, so I was comfortably full and had replenished my energy ready to finish my day of work.

I came in here for a quick healthy lunch and order the thai chilli chicken with rice in a box. There was a long queue when I got there which seemed to move quickly as there are five smiling people ready to serve you and your order is moved down the line starting with protein, salad, sauces, finisher, cashier and someone in the background cooking chicken. For £5.95 it’s a hefty price to pay for a half filled box. The food tasted ok, but nothing to rave about. Next time, I’ll go for the cheaper option and order a wrap.
