Bleugh. I don’t really like this shop. It’s not to my taste. The clothes are tacky, badly made and overpriced. It’s much more expensive than Shout but with exactly the same clothes. Kind of market stall quality, expect them to fall apart in the first wash sort-of-thing. Mainly selling dresses and tops rather than everyday clothes, you may find something that you are looking for if you’re going out for a staff do or something like that but it’s not really dress-to-impress sort of stuff.

I guess it isn’t actually the Vestry’s fault that the Arndale is overflowing with badly realised independent women’s fashion stores. But at the same time isn’t our fault that it is swallowed up in this mass of tack as we bracket it in with all the others. Imagining the Vestry in another residence, perhaps a little converted space in the Northern Quarter, I can really see how it could be a great shop as the stock isn’t half bad and the owners have shown some ambition in the store design but until it leaves the depressing independent scene of the Arndale behind it will hold no appeal to me. Not that I wear womens clothes… not that there’s anything wrong with that… I’ve got a girlfriend… but then I suppose so does Alex Reid… um, this is opening a whole new can of dragged up worms.
