The Corn Exchange has been an iconic building in MCR for quite sometime. Having gone through major changes over the time, most recently a small shopping centre dubbed ‘The Triangle’ the Corn Exchange that we all know and love has been fantastically restored. Now a foodie haven for Manchester folk and visitors alike, the place is packed to the rafters with chain restaurants such as Byron, Wahaca, Vapiano, Cabana Brasil and The Cosy Club to name a few. All serving decent grub and all in a prime location for a break-from-shopping lunch or dinner before a night out. The building is also due to host Roomzzz Aparthotel in the next few months too.

The Corn Exchange is full of restaurants that are mainly from London. This development is finished on the outside of the building. Some restaurants you can only reach from the outside while other you be entered from both outside and inside the corn exchange. When this development is finished, there will be here hotel too. Looking forward to seeing that as it will make the Corn Exchange transformation complete

What brilliant place to go for a meal there are 7 or 8 different restaurants to chose from and all look amazing.

The Corn Exchange is quite a nice part of Manchester, it is right in the city centre, near enough opposite Caffe Nero, but still is a very easy place to miss and simply not visit, so it is about time, they is a review for this place on Unilocal! The Corn Exchange has about half a dozen restaurants, inside and around it(which all are part of the exchange), some being large brands such as Byron and Zizzi, although they is some independent chains such as Phở and The Cosy Club. They is also a good amount of places open, such as a restaurant from Gino D’acampo and a Salvi’s, so it will definitely have more choice in in time for Christmas. It is hard to comment on The Corn Exchange as it is a reasonably small place, even though it does contain these restaurants, but still it is quite a nice place, and a very nice building, which I do really want to mark this place up for. It seemed to be very quiet on my visit on a Friday evening, but still it did have a nice feel to it, with the building its-self being very nice, however it seems they isn’t a lot here and with it being so quite that kind of ruined the ambience, and it felt like I was missing something in attending here, rather than the food court, which is busier than the whole city of Wigan(even though the food court I find to be dreadful) I don’t really want to mark the corn exchange down for its’ restaurants, but other than pizza, the choice for gluten free doesn’t seem too great, and I did get bad service from Byron, which will be commented on in a separate review, so I do feel I can only give 2 stars for now, but hopefully in the near future, when these new restaurants open, I will be able to come back and give The Corn Exchange a more favourable rating, as the building its-self is magnificent and deserves it, but still they is things that let it down.
