I’m only giving the Library Lounge 3 stars because it’s done me well during my months here. The opening hours are the best thing about it but of course I’m frowning even more so when trying to take a coffee break and become confronted by ridiculous queues. Now finally the University sees sense and has installed another till point to cope with the high demand. Only taken them five months.
There’s all the usual café munch and drinks you get here although I think the choice of confectionary is quite a strange mix. There’s a huge range of sandwiches and I recently had an actually really nice baguette, I was surprised to think.
If queueing isn’t your thing, then there’s a few vending machines. They don’t really deal with the demand very well as there’s often shortages of things. There are a few couches, tables and power sockets if you fancy coming in here for a chill out (I suggest avoid during exam periods).
Overall you’re in need of a coffee and it gives me that.
