Do not come, do not eat, do not waste your money. Worst masala fish ever. Old, way from fresh nan bread, fat and oily fish and fries deep fried in disgusting old oil. On top of that, when I’ve opened my take out bag at home — there was no salad, which I asked for. Already feel my stomach getting in pain… Never ever!

Received a takeaway from this place and it was the STALEST food I’ve ever tasted, swimming in grease. I wouldn’t even feed it to the dog. My advice would be to avoid buying anything from there. If 0 stars were possible

Ok, what if you were offered a huge filled donna kebab thats been fried together with onions, green peppers and thai chilli sauce?! Or how about a pepperoni burger? Or a deep filled calzone?(folded pizza) Well thats exactly the kind of food you get when you order from the Spice Kitchens. All I can say isWOW WOWWOW! Gorgeous soft bread, kebab meat was plentiful(as it should be) fried off Shashlik style with the onions, peppers & sauce, it was lovely! and the first time ive actually finished a kebab, I usually get fed up half way through due to lack of flavour and dog meat quality lol but not this time. Lots of interesting items on the menu, you can tell they are really trying to offer something different, which we definatley need as every tom dick & harry thinks all they have to do is buy a load of frozen food, open a takeaway and start raking the money in! Anyway before I start ranting lol, I’ll be eating from Spice Kitchens again, delivery was quick, food hot & tasty &DIFFERENT! what more could I ask for?(maybe they could send the sauce seperate on all deliveries, rather than sticking it all on the kebab in the shop) but im picky.

The Spice Kitchens on Wilmslow Road, offer some of the best takeaway food on the Curry Mile stretch, and does very well out of it. The food is exceptionally well priced, and, considering the low price of it all, is of a very good quality. Unlike some of the other take out joints in the area, the Spice Kitchens also offer an extensive range of freshly prepared Indian food, at a fraction of the price of the nearby restaurants. So — whether you want pizza or chicken tikka masala, you will find it here. A word of warning however. This place absolutely loves spicy food, and will take any opportunity they are given to spice up your food a bit with some chilli. So, if you are not in the mood for a bit of a kick, be sure to tell them before you order. The takeaway also has a small seating area, ideal if you want a rest. Funnily enough, this is what my friends and I decided to take them up on, so we ate our meal in the takeaway. Halfway through the meal, one friend and I decided we needed the toilet, and were advised by the staff that there was a toilet to the rear of the restaurant, accessed through a side door outside. We followed their instructions, entered through the side door into an unlit stairwell, which we followed until finding the ‘toilet’. The toilet was, in fact, a bathroom, with no lock on the door, no handles on the sink taps, and no toilet paper. We had to wash our hands in the bath, and stand guard at the door. Still — quite an adventure!

If you’re looking to set up shop in the curry mile with a takeaway you have to be able to offer something good, and luckily for Spice Kitchens, they do. In this case it is reasonable priced, tasty food, delivered in a pleasant, clean setting. The general décor is nice and modern which makes a change from the rather slapdash approach of others in the area, and the menu is pretty extensive too. I don’t have anything bad to say, which makes a nice change, so keep up the good work, Spice Kitchen.

Spice Kitchen as it is now, once upon a time was introduced to me as Kashmiri Spice about a year and half back. Since then it has been more than home to me regarding the very Indian tongue I possess! Its probably one of my favourite places the vast ocean of restaurants that Curry Mile witnesses. The décor is very pleasant and airy with whites, cool blues and purples, quite in contrast with the other heavily decorated places in Rusholme. The prices are really suitable as well, with very pocket friendly kebab’s on naan bread and the very thirst quenching Mango Lassi(Its basically mango flavoured smoothie). The menu reaches out from pizzas to kebabs to amazing curries which can be asked for less oil and spices to ones who prefer it light. The staff is very friendly and once a regular, their friendliness transcends into freebies! A great place to hit, especially late nights when hunger strikes or after a night out!

Spice kitchens strikes a different pose to the rest of the curry miles takeout gods. It’s shiny, slick, modern, and perhaps even fusion? The most flavoursome kitchens in the area supposedly, if that line doesn’t get you in I don’t know what will. The spice kitchens have a very futuristic feel coupled with semi open kitchens. The food is good with £2 sheikh kebabs it has developed somewhat of a following with local kids from the college next door. The menu covers the standard north Indian/Pakistani array with some pizzas and curries thrown in next to it.
