It’s always busy and blaring with music! I haven’t always found the best of things here, but sometimes you do stumble upon great things like a good top or a dress and pay barely anything! The shop is extremely cheap, the highest anything would go to would be about £30. They have a good collection of bags so that uplifts the store when the clothes don’t really appeal to you. There is always a discount section which sells things aplenty for £5−10 which is ridiculously cheap in the Arndale. They’re not the best, but sometimes you may manage to hit the jackpot!

I remember back when I used to watch Eastenders, I’d look at the tat that Zoe Slater would sell on the market(and occasionally show up to the Vic in) and think ‘really though, who would wear that? And even if anyone wanted to, where do you buy crap like that?‘ Well, girls, let me tell you about Shout. No, no, not the rubbish mid-90s girls’ magazine with cruddy free lip gloss. I’m talking about a shop on station approach that sells all the flammable polyester gladrags you can shake a stick at! Yay! Seriously, one turn around this shop and I was queasy. I felt light-headed and upset. Maybe it was the static electricity coming from the racks of cheapery. Maybe it was the bright colours and obvious rip-offs. Maybe it was the icky yucky smell from the in-store nail bar(seriously). Who knows? All I know, is that this place is basically some kind of purgatory for satin jumpsuits and diamanté t-shirts. I love a bargain like I love a good cab sauv, but only if it’s decent. Sure it’s fine buying cheap, but when you look cheap too it’s kind of a no-no. There’s nothing here to shout about.

Bless Shout. I agree with James, it’s a horrendous shop with awful clothes but it’s always busy, some people must like it!!! It’s very very cheap. But the clothes are both market style and market quality being sold at a little bit more than market price. Hey, you’re getting changing rooms and a receipt, you should have to pay a little more! It fills a gap in the market, it might not be where I’d ever shop but if you like it then enjoy!

On behalf of the women of Manchester I am officially outraged! What did they ever do that was so bad that they deserve shops like Shout? I honestly can’t figure out who is actually benefiting from the existence of this wholly crappy store– the customers certainly aren’t and the owner must be making a loss as a consequence. Why? Just why?
