Yes the place is definitely worth a mention. It does now sell alcohol which is very handy indeed as plenty of the curry places along here will let you bring your own, subsequently saving you money.
When I say money, you know what I mean don’t you? I mean, dosh, cash, greenback, tender? Yeah? Like, loot, de niro. You’ll be able to save yourself some means of exchange! Currency you know, funds, gold, gravy. You’ll have more bucks, more coinage, a bigger wadge. So thank god for Rusholme Wine & Newsagents.
Another tip here is to get your alcohol before you find your curry house because some places will pretend you’re not allowed to bring your own in order to get you to buy theirs but if you rock up with some wine, they’ll welcome it in with open arms (with or without you, not the U2 song).
It also sells other things, but they’ll cost you money instead of saving you capital.

This wine and newsagent is a peculiar spot. When I first nipped in to purchase some alcoholic beverages to accompany a local curry, guess what? They couldn’t sell alcohol. Since this though I believe this problem has been corrected. This newsagent is perfect for those curry mile jaunts looking for cheap corner shop booze. Or the craving for sweets, cigarettes, newspapers erm anything that you can think they have in a corner shop basically!
