Now Cau know what a quality cut of meat is and they certainly know how to cook it! This restaurant has replaced Zizi on the corner of Barlow Moor Road and Wilmslow Road right in the heart of Didsbury Village and has been very popular since it opened a few months ago. I was told by friends who had attempted to walk in and get a table that they were informed that the wait was around two hours long so I decided it would be best to call up and book a table a few weeks in advance. The walls are half covered in blue sky with white fluffy cloud wallpaper and half covered in white correlated plastic, this definitely gives a fresh and contemporary vibe and the seating area is very welcoming. My god I was blown away by their huge menu choice, I had to ask the waitress to give me a five more minutes so that I could make a decision. Eventually I opted for a 260g sirloin steak(cooked rare) with double cooked chips and peppercorn sauce. As I was chatting away to my friend I didn’t realise that we’d been waiting until one of the serving staff came over to apologise for the delay. We were given bread and dip on the house and thanked for our patience. The bread and flavoured butter were a great start to the meal and when my steak arrived I was so happy. It was cooked perfectly and well presented. The chips came in a little basket and the sauce came in a miniature gravy boat allowing me to add as much or as little as I liked. The steak just melted on my tongue and the peppercorn sauce packed a punch and huge flavours — a great accompaniment. I cannot wait to return here! I’m a massive steak lover and this new Didsbury restaurant did not disappoint in any way, shape or form.
