Station Tavern

It’s the classic family bar. You don’t expect much from the food and you don’t get much. The bar women were lovely. HOWEVER as we received our food we were greeted some horrid guy who lingered over us and was very rude. The bar staff did nothing to amend this situation so we were close to putting his head through a window. However we will not pursue this matter further.

FOOD WITH HASSLE. on a recent visit (march 2013) we had several drinks, then ordered some food. I chose the mixed grill and it was very poor portion wise especially, although at the time of ordering a comment was made to me, i hope your hungry!.I travel the whole of the uk and eat out very frequently, at a wide range of eateries at similar prices. That was the worst mixed grill Ive ever encountered. Then during our meal (5 mins in) we were asked to move, we refused the barman/​manager? came over and said it was ok to stay put. We were then harrassed by the same annoying little man (when the manager intervened little man was seen to have a tantrum!)
Cables were thrown over my mothers head which landed on her neck and shoulders (age 73yrs) no appology was given we left very annoyed. Did not complain at the time as needed to get away from situation.

Had a particularly bad pint of Holts here recently. It was lazily served and tasted lifeless and watered down. Not a good recommendation if you’re looking for a decent beer. Look elsewhere. The pub is admittedly spacey and décor-​wise ok, but what can you drink that’s worth the visit?

Awful food as above, expensive.

Barman has anger management issues.
